Konstantin Grcic
Konstantin Grcic (b. 1965, Munich) trained as a cabinet maker at Parnham College in England and studied design at the Royal college of Art in London from 1988 to 1990. He then founded the KGID office (Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design) in 1991, which led to commissions from leading firms in furniture, design, and architecture. Grcic creates industrial products widely described as pared down, simple, essential, or minimalist. His take on minimalism differs from the current fashion in its function in human terms, combining maximum formal strictness with considerable mental acuity and humor.
