I decided to purchase the Sayl chair vs the Aeron or Embody mainly because it looks prettier to me and also works better for my small space. Hive offers far more color options at a cheaper price so it was a no brainer for me to purchase here (Small tip: I found HM’s product configurator tool very helpful in deciding the colors). The delivery was also faster than expected — in fact I had to email hive to delay my shipment as I was out on vacation, which they handled in a breeze (thumbs up to the customer support team).

We ordered with all the adjustments. As a result both myself and my wife can use the chair comfortably. The low seating height was a necessity for her.

I love this chair! I purchased one with fully adjustable arms with a chrome base, java back, and mink seat - standard everything else. Wish I could have purchased one with more fun colors, but it just wouldn't work in my space. (I requested fabric samples first - I suggest you do the same because they were different in person to my eye.) I'm a smaller person and this chair is just right for me. It's made a huge (positive) difference in my WFH situation. I'd definitely buy it again and am happy with the purchase.

the chair is as beautiful as the pictures, if not more architectural in person. we special ordered our sayl chair with Hive and built to our specs. the pricing was better than working with HM directly. it was processed and shipped in a timely manner. working with Hive is a dream.

I had high expectations for this chair and they were all met. I work from home so I sit in it all week, and I feel much better than I did with my old office chair. The seat pad is firm but not hard, the back has adequate support (without the additional lumbar support option), and it looks amazing.

It arrived fully assembled, ready to roll out of the box. In the following weeks the chair and I became quite familiar with each other. I was able to master the adjustable controls (which I can now forget all about) and the chair has become accustomed to the shape of me (or perhaps vice versa). The mesh pushes back gently against my back, so I feel supported - yet not contorted. Negotiations between my bad posture and the chair are ongoing, but I feel like I'm slouching less every day. I wouldn't recommend this chair for everyone though, it is made out of soft, light material - not great if there are large creatures in your home who might be entranced by the mysteries of the mesh or run into it accidentally. Still, it has a fantastic warranty, so I'm not too worried. It has a great design and doesn't look too much like a fish out of water, at least in black. Overall, it's a good chair. I look forward to completing many tasks while sitting upon my sayl.

Years ago I bought the Herman Miller Aeron chair for my office. It's great. For most of the pandemic I have been working remotely, so I decided I needed a decent desk chair. I could not afford another Aeron, so I took the chance and got the less expensive Sayl. It's amazing. In fact, I think I may actually like it more than the Aeron. I feel supported and snug like it was built for me.

This is a great chair. Attractive, comfortable, highly adjustable (assuming you've sunk in enough money to pay for some or all of the available extras). This is also an expensive chair. It's largely plastic material composition leaves one wondering why the cost has to be so high. One is left with the distinct feeling of having overpaid for this product, regardless of how great it looks or how well it performs.

In our new work from home environment I realized I needed a high quality chair that would be attractive in my home. After a fair amount of research I focused on the sayl task chair - there were many positive reviews online which I had to rely upon given that I was not able to try the chair in advance. Hive offered the most options so that I was able to customize the color combination and adjustment capability of the chair to my specifications. It arrived within 5 weeks fully assembled in a giant well-packed box. All I had to do was roll it out. I am 5'7" and my son is 6'3" and we are both very comfortable in this chair.

We ordered all the bells and whistles. Super flexible chair that responds to your body. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

The says task chair is the best desk chair I have ever owned. It is comfortable, has great lines and a fun assortment of fabric colors to choose from. The chair is well made and worth the extra money. The mesh back is especially comfortable.
