panton panto pop stacking chair 4 pack
by Verner Panton, from VerPan
panton panto pop stacking chair 4 pack
Design Verner Panton, 1969
ABS resin with UV filter
Made in Denmark by VerPan ApS.
"I wanted to design furniture that grows up out of the floor - to turn the furniture into something organic and never with four legs." -Verner Panton
Designed by Verner Panton and launched in 1969, the Panto Pop stackable chair is an iconic design piece.
Recently Verpan, under license, updated the Panto Pop by adding UV stabilizers to the thermoplastic mix producing a more practical version for outdoor use. The addition of the drainage hole at the base of the seat now allows water to escape more freely improving both maintenance and durability.
One of Verpan's most recognizable pieces, the Panto Pop is stackable and available in white and red, adding a pop of color and fun to any environment. Sold in sets of four chairs of the same color. Please call the hive showroom with any questions: 1-866-663-4483.

Verner Panton
Verner Panton (1926 – 1998) created innovative, futuristic designs in vibrant colors with a variety of materials. Many of his well-known furniture designs have remained in continuous production and others have been reintroduced. Panton studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Art graduating in 1951. He subsequently worked in the architecture office of Arne Jacobsen. Panton started his own design and architectural practice and was well known for his innovative architectural proposals including a collapsible house, the Cardboard House and the Plastic House. In 1953 Panton converted a Volkswagen bus into a mobile studio and travelled across Europe. He returned to Denmark full of ideas, one of which evolved into the iconic Heart Cone Chair. Based on his vision of a one-piece one material cantilever chair, Panton in collaboration with Vitra developed the first cantilever plastic chair. The Panton chair became his most famous design and has been in production since 1967.
One of the true rebels and pioneers in the world of lighting and furniture design, Verner Panton is an icon. True to his vision, his creative language shocked surroundings when he started designing and continues to leave people amazed today. Adding a touch of Panton instantly transforms a room. For many years Verpan has produced his famous lamps, carefully merging quality and originality.
