Following the successful 2012 launch of the CP Lounge Collection for Bernhardt Design, Pollock expands his breadth with his first-ever series of occasional tables. Bernhardt Design debuted the cp.3 table collection.
One of Pollock's guiding principles is purity, and he often refers to his designs as "simple lines in space." This minimalist philosophy is evident in Pollock's new tables. Pared to the essentials, each table is composed of intersecting lines with one special detail. The rectangular crossbars are offset slightly at the intersection with the tubular legs, and the ends are curved to emulate each leg's radius.
"Designing tables was something new for me, so I decided to take a new approach. Much of my work has been about reducing forms down to a single line. These tables are about using lines to build something up. The joint detail implies they are assemblages," says Pollock. "Nothing in life emerges fully formed; everything is a work in progress."
The cp.3 tables are available as 42 inch diameter coffee tables or 22 inch diameter side tables, with polished stainless steel bases with 1/2 inch flat edge leaded glass tops.

Charles Pollock
Pollock's designs are governed by two principles. Creatively, he favored a continuous curved line when sketching ideas and creating forms. The second principle was that any product must be visually attractive, functional and affordable. His designs were technically advanced, yet easy to manufacture at a reasonable price.
