celon armchair
by Altherr & Molina Lievore, from Bernhardt Design
celon armchair
Design Lievore Altherr Molina, 2007
Brushed stainless steel frame, upholstery
Made in USA by Bernhardt Design
The first thing someone notices about the Celon chair, by Lievore Altherr Molina, are its distinctive chrome loop legs, creating an armchair that is almost transparent. However, more than just the chrome is notable. The seat, with its decorative stitching and geometric form, appears to perch lightly between them. Perfect as a dining or guest chair.
The firm of Lievore was founded in Barcelona in 1991 by Alberto Lievore, Jannette Altherr and Manel Molina. Focusing on product design, consultancy and art direction, the Studio offers personalized design solutions to industry. Known for its furniture design, Lievore Altherr Molina also develops interiors, packaging and product designs. In many opportunities, the Studio gives seminars and courses cooperating with several Spanish universities in forming new professionals.
Celon is offered in your choice of fabric or leather with a brushed stainless steel frame. It is Level 1 & Greenguard certified.

Altherr & Molina Lievore
Lievore, Altherr, & Molina was created in 1991 by the merging of its three experienced designer partners: Alberto Lievore, Jeannette Altherr, and Manel Molina. This prolific design group has designed products for Arper and is also known for interior design, and packaging. Beyond their own design, the studio deals in the consulting and art direction of various companies, always offering customized solutions. They extend this knowledge into a dedicated teaching practice too, offering seminars and training to new professionals through universities.
Bernhardt Design was founded in 1980 by the 125-year-old Bernhardt Furniture Company. In 2001, Bernhardt Design cemented its reputation as a leader and innovator in furniture design and production by partnering with Ross Lovegrove to create the iconic Go Chair, the world's first magnesium chair. Since then, President Jerry Helling has assembled an international roster of creative talent, including Arik Levy, Jaime Hayon, Jeffrey Bernett, Lievore Altherr Molina, Yves Behar and Charles Pollock. Bernhardt Design strongly supports the rising generation of creative talent through its interdisciplinary course at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and the ICFF Studio program.
