Orson desk, made in rich hardwood and cast iron, simply and quietly performs the task required, while remaining approachable and appealing to the senses. Three solid wood drawers with dovetail joinery provide ample storage for desk accessories, while three small compartments at the back of the desk provide an efficient and attractive cable management system. Accessories designed to complement the desk include two storage trays and a pencil holder which are available separately. Designed by Matthew Hilton for his eponymous brand, and manufactured by De La Espada craftsmen.

Matthew Hilton graduated with a degree in Furniture Design from Kingston Polytechnic in 1979. He went on to design products for a variety of well known manufacturers. In 1985 Matthew set up the Matthew Hilton Design Studio. He has also been given the highest honor in the field of Industrial Design in the United Kingdom, by being named a Royal Designer for Industry in 2003. In September 2007, Matthew established his own brand, Matthew Hilton Limited as a place he could have complete creative control. In 2008, he was named Designer of the Year by Elle Decoration at the British Design Awards.

Available in American black walnut, American white oak, or European Ash in a range of finishes, and cast iron.

Matthew Hilton works as an industrial designer as the Matthew Hilton Design Studio. His furniture is held in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert, the Geffrye Museum, and the Manchester City Art Gallery.
