krusin 18" h square side table
from Knoll
krusin 18" h square side table
Design Marc Krusin, 2012
American & European hard wood
Made in USA by Knoll
Through an inherent and graceful visual silence, the Krusin Occasional Tables maintain a simple linear form that is able to harmonize with a multitude of sophisticated design styles. Clean lines and a broad palette of natural woods, along with contemporary low sheen finishes and high polished lacquer, the collection can be specified to fit any aesthetic.
The collection includes side and lounge chairs, with or without arms as well as a series of occasional tables. They feature select American and European hard wood frames with dowel, mortise and tenon construction. The hard wood frames are available in a variety of options.
Marc Krusin graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in England with a degree in furniture design. He began his career in Milan and collaborated with various studios, including that of Piero Lissoni. In 1998, he co-founded the Milan-based group, Codice 31, which in successive years gained increased importance in the design world and established his international reputation as an emerging talent.
The Krusin tables are offered online in your choice of a variety of wood frames and marble tops. Includes felt glides for use on hard floor surfaces.
* Polished marble tops: transparent, high-polish, polyester coating to help prevent use-associated stains.
* Satin coated marble tops: transparent satin polyester coating to prevent use-associated stains. The satin finish gives the stone a natural, honed appearance while providing the same protection as polished marbles.

Hans Knoll founded the Knoll company in New York City in 1938 one year after immigrating from Germany. He hired Florence Schust who had worked for Gropius and Breuer and the two were married in 1946. Knoll would triumph thanks to impressive international contacts, gaining exclusive rights to the works of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe including the Barcelona Chair. Knoll commissioned Eero Saarinen to design the Tulip chair. Artists such as Harry Bertoia, Jens Risom, and Isamu Noguchi also collaborated with Knoll.
