Frank Gehry

Frank Gehry (b. 1929, Toronto) has been described as the “most important architect of our age” by Vanity Fair, and his buildings are among the most recognizable in the world. His best-known works include the masterful Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, the vibrant and playful MIT Stata Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the elegant Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles, and the colorful and psychedelic Experience Music Project in Seattle. Nearly all of his buildings attract tourists and demand attention with their unique and unusual forms.
Heller has created a simple paradigm: good design, industrial production and reasonable prices. The company’s very first product line, in 1971, was Massimo Vignelli’s stacking dinnerware that went on to win a Compasso d’Oro award and is included in the MoMA permanent design collection. They rolled out their furniture line in 1998, beginning with the Bellini Chair, designed by Mario Bellini. It also claimed a Compasso d’Oro. Bellini designed more noteworthy chairs: The UltraBellini Chair (2006), the MB 1, MB 2 and MB 5. Heller continues to explore new technologies in furniture manufacturing.

Color cubes exceeded my expectations
, more than a month ago.
We purchased both the cubes and chairs in a variety of colors for an outdoor space that could benefit from a big bold splash of color. The Gehry furniture did just that and much more. Every time we or our guests see/sit in them, we smile and find simple delight in such playful energetic forms. And, the furniture is surprisingly comfortable for being molded from hard plastic. Each time I enjoy my time in the garden, I think to myself that our decision was even more right than I had hoped it would be.

Surprisingly comfortable and far more playful than expected
, more than a month ago.
The chairs and side tables have been in the garden for 2 weeks and whenever anyone first see them their faces light up with delight. Then, they sit in the chairs and find them surprisingly inviting and comfortable, as do I. Lastly, the colors are striking, cheerful and

I was not 100% convinced that I would like this furniture when I ordered it, but I am now 100% convinced I made the right decision. Far better and with more impact than any conventional patio furniture could be.
