lou lou ghost child's chair
by Philippe Starck, from Kartell
lou lou ghost child's chair
Design Philippe Starck, 2008
Injection-molded polycarbonate
Made in Italy by Kartell
We are excited to introduce Lou Lou Ghost. The newest personality of the Kartell family. The relentless success of Louis Ghost has spawned a "baby" version of Philippe Starck's famous chair. Lou Lou Ghost has inherited its progenitor's classic design, material, indestructibility and ergonomics, teaching children to use small-sized chairs but with adult forms. Dedicated to youngsters, the little chair is suitable for indoor/outdoor use and available in a rainbow of mouth-watering and playful colors.
As one of the best-known contemporary designers, Philippe Starck has placed honesty and integrity at the core of his designs producing quality products with longevity & durability. Starck's work does not concentrate on the creation of provocative and expensive single pieces. Instead his product designs are of usable household items who Starck himself helps to market for mass production. His products are often stylized, streamlined and organic in their look.
15.75" w | 14.5" d | 24.75" h | seat: 12.5" h | stacks 6 high

Philippe Starck
Philippe Starck has a wide range of design and is very well known for consumer goods and interiors. He was educated in Paris at the École Camondo and founded his first design firm in 1968. Among Starck's famous designs include stylized toothbrushes (1989) and a sleek juicer dubbed the Juicy Salif created for Alessi in 1990. The Juicy Salif has become an affordable and popular cult item.
The Kartell image and history are best described through the company's products. The development, corporate strategies, attention paid to technology and design can be appreciated by observing the products Kartell has produced. Kartell products express the language and the atmosphere of the period in which they were created and at the same time they are "contemporary articles". They incorporate many values and messages and this is why they have become an integral part of our design world.
