Hiray Outdoor Lounge Armchair takes metal, one of the most important materials for the greening of the Kartell catalogue, and uses the welded wire process to shape it. The result is an essential and functional product that is nevertheless rich in emotion. Metal wires form well-defined yet lightweight structural parts of the collection's lounge series (sofa, lounge chair, coffee table), dining series (armchair, side chair, dining tables), or bar dining series (high top table, stool).
Ludovica + Roberto Palomba set up their own studio in Milan in 1994, and their joint expertise ranges from architectural planning, to interior design, and partnerships as product designers and art directors with leading international brands; they have received multiple, major accolades such as the Compasso d'Oro award. Architect Roberto Palomba has been working as professor at the Polytechnic of Milan, Industrial Design Department, since 2003.
Their philosophy is to create objects that interact in an immediate way with the people who choose them, creating an intimate, significant and long-lasting relationship, as testified by the durability of their designs.
Optional seat cushion in Vagatex Outdoor Stretch Fabric over heat-formed polyurethane. Fabric contains laser-cut, water-repellent recycled material with the lower side coated in a non-slip rubberized pad.
