karl tufted rug
Design Jean-Marie Massaud
Wool, linen
Made in Sweden by Kasthall
Karl is an exclusive hand-tufted rug in the finest wool and linen with a timeless and tactile design. The geometric pattern is reinforced by the two pile heights, a higher cut surface and a lower bouclé. The patterns vary in sizes, shapes, and colors, like fields seen from the window of an airplane.
As an architect, inventor, and designer, Jean-Marie Massaud constantly disregards fashion trends. Instead, he questions and progresses contemporary designs, finding answers and solutions to modern design problems. The combination of his vision for comfort and timelessness with Kasthall's excellent craftsmanship and quality resulted in the tufted-rug Karl.
Sustainability is rooted in Kasthall's history from the beginning and continues today in their work and ambition to contribute to a sustainable future. They use a circular approach to design and a fully-traceable supply chain to reduce the impact on people and planet. It is part of their commitment to local Swedish production and a made-to-order system that creates less waste. Kasthall uses third-party environmental declarations and assessment to ensure reliability.
The rug is made from pure wool yarn (95%), linen (5%). Custom sizes are available, please contact Hive for assistance ordering sizes not shown online.
