Panthella 320 Table Lamp

by Verner Panton from Louis Poulsen

panthella 320 table lamp

Design Verner Panton, 1971
Deep drawn steel or acrylic shade, die-cast aluminum base
Made by Louis Poulsen

"The main purpose of my work is to provoke people into using their imagination."
-Verner Panton

Verner Panton originally developed the Panthella lamp in partnership with Louis Poulsen in 1971. He originally wanted to have Panthella launched with a metal shade, but this was not technologically possible at that time. Louis Poulsen is now launching a new size in-between the Mini (250) and Classic (400) version of the iconic Panthella lamp with a diameter of 12.6" - scaled down from the standard 15.7" size.

The Panthella 320 Table Lamp emits a soft and comfortable light. The hemispherical metal shades reflect the light downwards, whereas the acrylic (opal shade) version provides a more diffused distribution. The material used ensures the majority of light is spread diffusely in the room from the surface of the shade. On/off in-line switch on white cord for opal and brass fixtures, black cord for all other finishes.

12.6" diameter | 17.2" h | bulb: 1x10W G16.5/candelabra
