Patrick Jouin

After earning his BA in 1986, Patrick Jouin studied design at the ENSCI of Paris and graduated in 1992. He began working for Thomson Multimedia , before joining the agency Philippe Starck a year later. In 1998, he founded his own agency for design, objects, and interior architecture. It creates pieces that are published by LignRoset , Cassina , Fermob , Kartell and Alessi. His style is often described as discrete and uncluttered. Nevertheless, it is elegant, poetic and combines tradition and modernity.
The Kartell image and history are best described through the company's products. The development, corporate strategies, attention paid to technology and design can be appreciated by observing the products Kartell has produced. Kartell products express the language and the atmosphere of the period in which they were created and at the same time they are "contemporary articles". They incorporate many values and messages and this is why they have become an integral part of our design world.
