Prolific Italian designer Joe Colombo created a wide array of appealing glass objects in his time. Clessidra is his timeless and beautifully scaled glass vase, the container of the vase raised gracefully on the light base to lift the flowers up in the air.
Prolific Italian architect and designer Joe Colombo, born Cesare Colombo, believed in democratic and functional design, meant to be used in many different ways - all for the benefit of the user. Ahead of his time, Colombo relied on emerging material and the latest technologies to design futuristic "machines for living", many of which have become icons for a new way of living.

Joe Colombo
Colombo’s career in painting began in 1949 and he joined the Movimento Nucleare as both an active painter and sculptor within abstract Expressionism. After joining the Art Concept Group in 1955, Colombo gave up painting to promote his design career.
