anna g. galla placidia corkscrew
Design Alessandro Mendini, 2021
Chrome-plated zamak, thermoplastic resin
Made by Alessi
A special cloth enhances the soft and delicate design of the Anna G. corkscrew designed by Alessandro Mendini. The attraction of the lights, colors and mosaic vaults of the small mausoleum in Ravenna dedicated to the Roman empress Galla Placidia has inspired this iridescent play of shapes and colors, striking for the rigour of its geometries in contrast to its vivid and dreamy hues.
Galla Placidia is a special edition, corkscrew made of thermoplastic resin and chrome-plated zamak. Also available as the Alessandro M.
