Spine signals a dynamic design language driven by strong lines balanced by subtle curves. Contrasts that merge into a singular, balanced entity. Solid and graphic yet soft and organic. The design is anchored in Nordic tradition but with a sophisticated, modern twist that gives it a striking, fresh aesthetic.
Adding a touch of tension and dimension is the interplay between the upholstery and the base, available in either wood or metal. Spine in wood is classic and luxurious, exuding a certain strength of character. Whereas the sleekness of the metal base signals a look that's more modern and light. The upholstery is inspired by techniques that were developed at the Fredericia workshop for Borge Mogensen's exclusive 1960's leather series.
With its graceful appearance, Spine is all about contrasting elements that culminate in a cohesive concept that's inviting wherever you place it. The Spine series includes a variety of products and a growing number of variants, found in deluxe restaurants, bars, hotels and exclusive retail shops worldwide.
The simple lines of the metal leg infuse the chair with a sleekness that contrasts perfectly with the plush, fully-upholstered seat, creating a beautifully balanced design. Metal parts are black. Available in two standard heights.
