Design Lievore Altherr, 2017
Aluminum, metal, plywood, upholstery
Made in Italy by Arper

A classical form, repeated. The Arcos collection is a restrained interpretation of Art Deco's geometric glamor - without the ornamentation. Though lightweight and quiet, Arcos maintains a graphic presence due to its signature cast aluminum armrests that form twin curves evoking the elegant rhythm of archways in the corridors and walkways of classical architecture.

Arcos is available in four different versions: chair, armchair, and two or three seat sofa. All versions have a sled base and polished or coated aluminum integrated armrests. The shell can be upholstered in a wide range of finishes, with armrests coated in the same color. The Arcos collection, thanks to its various seating solutions, is ideal in lounge areas and in both residential and contract spaces. Perfect to create ever-changing and personalized areas, you can match items either identical or different one from the other.

Altherr & Molina Lievore

Lievore, Altherr, & Molina was created in 1991 by the merging of its three experienced designer partners: Alberto Lievore, Jeannette Altherr, and Manel Molina. This prolific design group has designed products for Arper and is also known for interior design, and packaging. Beyond their own design, the studio deals in the consulting and art direction of various companies, always offering customized solutions. They extend this knowledge into a dedicated teaching practice too, offering seminars and training to new professionals through universities.
Arper's origins are of a leather workshop founded by Luigi Feltrin, the company President. His passion, supported by innovations from his sons Mauro and Claudio, give Arper their distinct place in the design world. The company's scale grew in the late 1990's when they began using new materials and technologies, as well as due to a collaboration with the firm Lievore Altherr Molina. Among the classics that came from this collaboration is the Catifa chairs, which are available in 5 different versions and have sold over a million units since 2001. Today, Arper's policy is focused on environmental quality and sustainability, while using low-emitting recyclables.
