As affordable as it is inventive, SAYL proves our belief that a reasonably priced work chair can be well designed and include leading-edge ergonomics. Designing SAYL started with understanding the needs of people and designing an ergonomic work chair that incorporates everything that Herman Miller chairs are known for. By rethinking every part, they were able to create a better, smarter chair that sets a new reference point in its class for performance, ergonomics, quality, and appearance.

Sayl task chairs offer a variety of features that help enhance your seating experience. All chairs come with tilt limiter which allows adjustment of tilt tension and tilt range (4 settings), arms and casters. Optional features include seat angle adjustment of horizontal or 5º forward, seat depth adjustment from 16"-18", height only or fully adjustable arms and adjustable lumbar support.

People at their best live unframed, going behind expectations to surprise and delight us. When you settle into the frameless back of the Sayl chair, you experience unprecedented freedom of movement and beautiful support - with an extremely small environmental impact.

Yves Behar

Yves Behar is a thinker. And one thing he thinks about a lot is the future. You can see it in his designs--from his reflective red-lacquered laptop for Toshiba to his elegant closed-toe Footprints for Birkenstock to his refined Aliph Jawbone Headset for cell phones. "I believe design's purpose is not only to show us the future, but to bring us the future," he states.
Herman Miller was a West Michigan businessman who helped his son-in-law, D.J. De Pree, buy the Michigan Star Furniture Company in 1923. De Pree had been working at the company, which opened in 1905, since he was hired in 1909 as a clerk. De Pree knew his father-in-law was a man of integrity, so he decided to rename the company after him. By the middle of the 20th century, the name Herman Miller had become synonymous with “modern” furniture. Working with legendary designers George Nelson and Charles and Ray Eames, the company produced pieces that would become classics of industrial design.
