steeve two seat sofa
by Altherr & Molina Lievore, from Arper
steeve two seat sofa
Design Jean Marie Massaud, 2015
Steel tubing, elastic belts, plywood, polyurethane, upholstery
Made in Italy by Arper
Steeve is a modern, modular system imagined for the refined home or work environment. Customizable in a wide range of fabrics, leathers and finishes, Steeve's three versatile components - bench, armchair, sofa and relative modules - can be arranged to accommodate any interior space allowing for countless configurations. Steeve's silhouette is solid and architectural while at the same time appearing slender, light and volumetric.
Steeve is available in the following versions: with or without armrests, with right or left armrest. The frame can be entirely upholstered with a single material in just one color, with a single material in different colors or with wood on the external side and with fabric, leather or faux leather on the inside. The seat and backrest cushions have the same upholstery as the frame internal side.
The seat frame consists of lacquered steel tubing fitted with elastic belts for improved suspension and aluminum glides. The backrest and armrests are made in birch plywood, upholstered in polyurethane/fiber and available in fabric, leather or faux leather. Please call the hive showroom with any questions: 1-866-663-4483.

Altherr & Molina Lievore
Lievore, Altherr, & Molina was created in 1991 by the merging of its three experienced designer partners: Alberto Lievore, Jeannette Altherr, and Manel Molina. This prolific design group has designed products for Arper and is also known for interior design, and packaging. Beyond their own design, the studio deals in the consulting and art direction of various companies, always offering customized solutions. They extend this knowledge into a dedicated teaching practice too, offering seminars and training to new professionals through universities.
Arper's origins are of a leather workshop founded by Luigi Feltrin, the company President. His passion, supported by innovations from his sons Mauro and Claudio, give Arper their distinct place in the design world. The company's scale grew in the late 1990's when they began using new materials and technologies, as well as due to a collaboration with the firm Lievore Altherr Molina. Among the classics that came from this collaboration is the Catifa chairs, which are available in 5 different versions and have sold over a million units since 2001. Today, Arper's policy is focused on environmental quality and sustainability, while using low-emitting recyclables.
