Design George Nelson, 1947
Made in Poland by Vitra

At mid-century, belief in progress and unbridled enthusiasm prevailed. Everything seemed possible and everyone wanted to be modern. The ball clock embodies this spirit and was hatched one festive evening in 1947 as a result of a jovial collaboration among Nelson, Noguchi, Irving Harper and Buckminster Fuller. A refreshing alternative to more hum-drum devices of time measurement, these clocks are produced from the original design documents from the Nelson archive with the blessings of the Nelson estate.
