Design Foersom Hiort-Lorenzen, 2003
Polished stainless steel, polyurethane foam, upholstery
Made in Denmark by Erik Jorgensen

Elegant and straight-backed like a standing flamingo on its long slender legs, Foersom Hiort-Lorenzen's neo-classic from 2003 expresses a rare sense of modernity. In addition to its popularity both in the contract market and with private buyers, the chair also exemplifies particularly exquisite upholstery techniques. Flamingo is aesthetics, ergonomics and excellent craftsmanship in a contemporary combination.

The prolific duo Foersom Hiort-Lorenzen consists of Johannes Foersom (1947) and Peter Hiort-Lorenzen (1943). The duo has played a key role in defining the Danish concept of design with an impressive range of well-designed and contemporary furniture over more than 25 years. Foersom Hiort-Lorenzen have designed much of Erik Jørgensen's best-selling furniture, and over the years, the duo has received countless design awards for their innovative and functionalist design, which always considers humane, organic and aesthetic aspects.

The Erik Jorgensen story begins in the town of Svendborg on the southern coast of the Danish island of Funen. Erik Jorgensen delivers furniture to countries all over the world, and the brand is associated with a sound aesthetic that is more than a passing fad. An aesthetic that rests on tradition and craftsmanship, but which is also nurtured by innovative furniture designs by both young and more established designers.
