Eero Saarinen's 1948 Womb chair, made exclusively for Knoll, displays the Finnish-born designer's flair for challenging rules, breaking molds and setting new standards for comfortable modern design.
We are very pleased to welcome the Womb Settee back to the Knoll line up. A Womb chair fit for two. The design has been out of production, but never out of style. The double-wide design is the perfect modern refuge for the living room, bedroom or office.
The Womb Settee is offered with a steel base in either polished chrome or matte black powder-coat. It features foam over molded, reinforced fiberglass shell. The separate seat & back cushions are constructed of polyester fiver with a foam core. Includes stainless steel and nylon articulating glides.

Eero Saarinen
Saarinen designed many of the most recognizable Knoll pieces including the Tulip Collection and the Womb chair. His designs are graceful & organic and helped establish the identity of Knoll during its formative years.
Knoll has remained true to the Bauhaus design philosophy that furniture should complement architectural space and not compete with it. Modernism is a passion at Knoll which results in ground breaking modern furniture.
