The Tolomeo lamp series offer direct lighting with an adjustable arm structure in polished aluminum with joints and tension control knobs in polished die-cast aluminum and tension cables in stainless steel. The Tolomeo double shade is a stem suspended lamp for adjustable direct and indirect lighting. It features a telescoping stem in chrome plated steel, adjustable at installation. The diffuser, with aluminum frame, is offered in parchment paper or pale grey satin and polycarbonate fiber blend or black fabric. Incorporated on/off switch. Mounting to standard electrical junction box.
Michele De Lucchi was born in 1951 in Ferrara and graduated in architecture in Florence. During the period of radical and experimental architecture he was a prominent figure in movements like Cavart, Alchymia and Memphis. De Lucchi has designed lamps and furniture for well known Italian and European companies. The firm's philosophy is rooted in the search for deep interaction between architectural thinking, industrial design and global communication.
