sintesi table lamp
Design Ernesto Gismondi, 1975
Aluminum, thermoplastic
Made by Artemide
Artemide celebrates the 50th anniversary of Sintesi with a reissue honoring the very first lamp designed by Ernesto Gismondi. Introduced in 1975, Sintesi is an icon of design: essential, harmonious, and timeless. Its elegant form and meticulous attention to detail make it a versatile object, capable of bringing contemporary style and character to any space. Conceived as an intelligent system, it is built around simple, shared components that formed a versatile family of products.
Flexible essentiality. The table version stands at the core of the reissue, representing the heart of the original modular system. Featuring a minimalist bent-metal form, the lamp is adjustable in height and angle thanks to its iconic Y-shaped support. The head, with E26 socket, reflector, and grid, combines adaptability and durability in a compact, functional design.
Compact, foldable, sustainable. Thanks to its design, Sintesi can be stored completely flat inside its packaging, optimizing transport and storage space. Compact, foldable and functional, Gismondi's lamp fully embodies its creator's vision, combining innovation, sustainability and a timeless aesthetic.
Sintesi has recently been awarded the Wallpaper* Design Awards, an international recognition within the design landscape. The award highlights the relevance of a product that, re-edited fifty years after its introduction, continues to stand out for its formal balance, mechanical intelligence and quality of light, while maintaining its ability to engage with contemporary spaces.
