A.I. Console Table
by Philippe Starck from Kartell
a.i. console table
Design Philippe Starck, 2023
Recycled thermoplastic technopolymer
Made in Italy by Kartell
Philippe Starck continues his exploration of new and sustainable materials, in search of the pure and basic form of the graphic design element. A.I. Console Table is proposed as an idea of elegance of artificial intelligence in search of the minimum, the ground zero of style. The console that takes up the already recognizable lines that characterize the family is a unique piece of furniture that leaves an uncluttered yet characterful mark on entrances and hallways thanks to its styling with a central leg. It is ideal for both residential and contract environments, with several color variations: white, grey, green, terracotta and black.
The added value of A.I. lies in the fact that it is the first product family conceived by Artificial Intelligence in response to input received from the designer (Philippe Starck) and the know-how of the company (Kartell). Specifically, creative thinking, company know-how and artificial intelligence have merged to develop a chair model based on an algorithm that respects the original brief of the designer and the company a comfortable product with the structural strength and solidity required while upholding one of Kartell's main values: to be an injection-molded industrial product of outstanding aesthetic quality.
Made from recycled thermoplastic technopolymer with mineral filler and soft-touch treatment. Kartell continues its ongoing commitment to sustainability with eco-friendly products which are part of the broader project expressed by the industrial manifesto Kartell loves the planet. A.I. was created for the first time ever using recycled material, in which aesthetics and structural requirements remain unaltered, blending seamlessly with generative design.
