"Since my work is based on the use of color, I wanted to make this collection of carpets bright and unusual, connecting different color planes in one composition. I think this collection of carpets turned out to be interesting and suprematistic."
- Daria Zinovatnaya
Supremacy of color and shape. Zoe is the result of the first collaboration between Daria Zinovatnaya and GAN. The collection is made up of two highly visual rugs that express the importance of form and color for its creator and tell us about its references: Russian Suprematism and the Bauhaus. Sool, one of the two rugs that make up the collection, is made using the kilim technique, an ancient method that does not use knots and with which flat and light rugs are obtained thanks only to the weft of fibers that cover the warp of threads.
Daria Zinovatnaya is an architect and industrial designer born in 1992 in Simferopol, Ukraine. She graduated from the architectural Academy and received a master's degree. Since 2017, she opened her own studio in Saint Petersburg and collaborates with various brands on her designs and brings her eccentric universe to the interior design of hotels, homes and restaurants. In 2017 she won a Red Dot Award for her "Cherokee" furniture concept. Her modern and colorful imagination is captured in unique and inspiring works that explore new aesthetic paths.
