Yang LED Lamp
from Artemide
yang led lamp
Design Carlotta de Bevilacqua, 2019
Methacrylate, transparent polycarbonate, RGB dichroic filters
Made in Italy by Artemide
Yang is the result of studies conducted on colored light and colored temperatures of white and their psychological and physiological impact, which began with the Metamorfosi project in the 90s. Yang can reproduce all of the colors in the visible spectrum and allow man to perceive all the wavelengths generated by natural sunlight for optimal vision. This new evolution provides a brighter range of colors that can become more and more vivid.
An interactive interface allows you to select specific wavelengths, giving the user complete freedom and flexibility to interact with the fixture in real time. It is possible to create and manage a wide range of colored light atmospheres within a single source.
Architect, designer and above all humanist, Carlotta de Bevilacqua has been a force in contemporary lighting since the 1980s. A pioneer in LED research and implementation, she created the concept "The Human Light" in which lighting encourages not only the well-being of those who live, work and interact with it, but also the planet. As interested in science of light as the sensory experience, de Bevilacqua seeks to create synergy between products and users through accessible, experimental design. A life-force at Artemide for nearly 4 decades, in addition to her own studio she oversees Danese Milano creating minimal, yet elegant, products which further complement the built environment. In addition to widespread recognition for her work, in 2011, she received a Red Dot Design Award for the Algoritmo and Copernico.
Six small feet allow the lamp to be placed at different inclinations, three projectors with dichroic filters: red (450lm), green (800lm), and blue (150lm).
15.75" w | 15.75" d | 12.2" h | bulb: 3x 11.2w integrated LEDs
