The Tolomeo lamp series offer direct lighting with a fully adjustable, articulated arm structure in extruded aluminum with joints and tension control knobs in polished die-cast aluminum and tension cables in stainless steel. The diffuser is offered in stamped, anodized matte aluminum, rotatable 360° on lampholder with choice of wall mount.
Michele De Lucchi was born in 1951 in Ferrara and graduated in architecture in Florence. During the period of radical and experimental architecture he was a prominent figure in movements like Cavart, Alchymia and Memphis. De Lucchi has designed lamps and furniture for well known Italian and European companies. The firm's philosophy is rooted in the search for deep interaction between architectural thinking, industrial design and global communication.
Black model features a diffuser, lampholder, and arms in black finish mixed with the bracket, hardware and fittings in an aluminum finish. Tolomeo is offered with a choice of wall mounted support in polished die-cast aluminum:
Type 'S' - suitable for wall surface mounting with cord and plug connection to wall plug-in outlet.
Type 'J' - suitable for mounting to wall electrical junction box with direct hard wiring.
Note: All Tolomeo wall fixtures are shipped with cord & plug. To hardwire a fixture to a junction box, the plug will need to be cut, wires stripped and fixture mounted (by a licensed electrician). Please select either a 'J' or 'S' mount according to your specific project. UL listed. Cord & plug versions do not include wall mount screws.
