Analog meets digital elements. Poetry meets technology. MOODMOON is a decorative wall lamp that combines innovation and tradition in the interplay of LED technology and Japanese paper.
The designer Sebastian Hepting, who has been part of the Ingo Maurer team for 17 years, developed the idea for the MOODMOON luminaire in times of the Lockdown 2020, in which the home is used for different purposes - from work to homeschooling and place of relaxation - and the demands on light are very versatile. MOODMOON focuses on the individual well-being of people and thus reflects the concept of Human Centric Lighting.
MOODMOON comes in two variants; White or RGBW. MOODMOON RGBW contains the whole spectrum of color. Via an app, users can choose from 14 different lighting moods and color gradients and change the atmosphere of a room according to their own sensibilities. In this way, the MOODMOON moods, which are partly static and partly moving, can be adapted to personal needs. MOODMOON White is a powerful alternative to the colored MOODMOON, which emits a warm white light with high color rendering. The poetic lighting effect of the luminaire is created by the unique structure of the Japanese paper, which is penetrated by bright, warm white LED light through rear projection.
Easy to install, one nail on the wall is enough. Supplied with a 138" long plug cable with foot switch. Direct connection to a wall outlet by a qualified electrician is also possible. Several lights can be linked and then controlled synchronously using the remote control supplied. This can also be attached to the wall using the magnetic holder. Due to the irregular arrangement of the long fibers, each sheet of paper in the MOODMOON lamp is unique. The Japanese paper, in its intentional imperfection, underlines the high-quality manufacturing character, as do the seams of the square umbrella made in our Munich workshop.
