påfågel tufted rug

Design Berit Woelfer
Wool, linen
Made in Sweden by Kasthall

This rug is a long-pile rug with variations of wool and linen. It is named after a bird, the Peacock (Påfågel in Swedish). And it is easy to understand why when you examine the rug's beautiful feather pattern. The original design was a woven rug made in Malaga, a Chenille yarn in wool and linen. This rug was later revived as a hand-tufted version with new yarns.

Sustainability is rooted in Kasthall's history from the beginning and continues today in their work and ambition to contribute to a sustainable future. They use a circular approach to design and a fully-traceable supply chain to reduce the impact on people and planet. It is part of their commitment to local Swedish production and a made-to-order system that creates less waste. Kasthall uses third-party environmental declarations and assessment to ensure reliability.

The rug is made from wool yarn (50%) and linen (50%), custom sizes are available, please contact Hive for assistance ordering sizes not shown online. Depending on the natural materials used and the varied hand-crafted processes in production, dimensions of the rug may vary by up to 2%. Pile height is approximately 0.9".
