Feather is a hand-tufted rug in pure wool and linen bouclé. With its feather-like fringes, this rug is a standout piece, featuring patterns and layering that create a frame-like border. It is an ideal centerpiece in any interior design scheme, complementing other unique furnishings in home settings and exclusive spaces. In the second half of 2023, the Feather collection was updated with five new colors inspired by nature and its rich birdlife.
Ellinor Eliasson is educated at The Swedish School of Textiles in Borås, only a few miles from the Kasthall headquarters in Kinna. She started at Kasthall as an intern at Kasthall's product and design department in 2015 and has since been part of many acclaimed design projects. Ellinor developed the Harvest concept, woven rugs made from residual yarn.
Sustainability is rooted in Kasthall's history from the beginning and continues today in their work and ambition to contribute to a sustainable future. They use a circular approach to design and a fully-traceable supply chain to reduce the impact on people and planet. It is part of their commitment to local Swedish production and a made-to-order system that creates less waste. Kasthall uses third-party environmental declarations and assessment to ensure reliability.
The rug is made from pure wool yarn (60%) and linen (40%), custom sizes are available, please contact Hive for assistance ordering sizes not shown online. Depending on the natural materials used and the varied hand-crafted processes in production, dimensions of the rug may vary by up to 2%. Pile height is approximately 0.5" with a fringe of 3" linen.
