Join the Trade Professionals ProgramThis lamp does need to be stabilized. Any bump could tip this over easily. Ordered 2 of these in black but the base, which is shown nowhere in the photos, is stainless steel. Should be offered in black to match the finish. Doesn't look very good adding a stainless base to the black. Poor design addition and photos ARE very misleading. Very disappointed w/outcome.
the construction is heavier than I expected. very stable. it is also more attractive in person - I ordered the white one. very happy with this purchase. I think I'll get a few more. comes with optional thin metal chrome base for added stability and charging cord.
