link led table lamp

I purchased this light from Hive in 2017. The lamp design itself is splendid, and the leds still work 9 years later. However, the big issue is that I purchased the unit with the green color and a few years ago the rubberized coating started tacky, as if it was a natural latex which degrades in sunlight. My lamp is in the office and only sees indirect sunlight, but the coating is now awful, although the green color does not seem affected. I guess I will have to use an adhesive remover or ammonia to remove all the residue. Also a recurring issue is that the light articulation loses it friction and the pendant droops down. I was finally able to fix by packing the joint with teflon pipe tape.nFinally the USB adapter is chintzy and not worth the extra addition.nI'll muddle through these issues as I love the lamp, but hard to recommend this, unless the rubberized coating is not applied. Again, great design, but not Artemide level of execution...

I got this light to have bright desk light for drawing and to be minimal in taking up space. Love how it looks and lights but I cannot keep light from falling over (top part). there is no way to tighten valves and now the LED itself has gone out. So frustrating!!

This lamp is stunning, it is the perfect addition to my crafting table, and provides excellent lighting. For adjusting, it swings left to right very easily, however moving the elbow joints will require 2 hands. Also, because there is no internal wiring, the lamp will sometimes flicker when you make an adjustment, but will correct itself once you've stopped moving it. It doesn't bother me too much, but I do wish it wouldn't be so sensitive to movement. I docked off one star for this.
