re-chair 2 pack
by Antonio Citterio, from Kartell
re-chair 2 pack
Design Antonio Citterio, 2020
Recycled thermoplastic technopolymer with mineral filler
Made in Italy by Kartell
Kartell is continuing its strategy of producing original products which combine sustainable materials with the latest production technology, offering new creative impulses based around the core principle of respect for the environment.
The name captures the very essence of the piece: RE stands for recycled, while CHAIR is a nod to Kartell's trademark product, creating a link between the past and future. The result is a chair produced according to sustainable principles, characterized by bold, square lines which succeed in creating a sense of lightness and solidity all at once. The style of Re-Chair means it can be positioned in various different parts of the home, from the dining room to the study. Perfect for the Habitat setting, the chair is also an ideal piece for Office use.
Re-Chair has been unveiled after a period of finalization, during which structural and functional testing was carried out. The material the chair is made from is composed of pure, uncontaminated materials deriving from other sectors. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, Re-Chair is stackable up to 6 chairs high and comes in black, white, grey, green or dove grey. Sold in sets of two chair of the same color.
19.8" w | 19.3" d | 31.1" h | seat: 17.5" h | 7.7 lbs.

Antonio Citterio
Italian designer Antonio Citterio (b. 1950) still lives and works in Milan since graduating in architecture from the Politcenico di Milano. He has made designs for many manufacturers, including : Ansorg, B&B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Hackman, Iittala, Hansgrohe, Inda, Pozzi e Ginori, Kartell, Arclinea and Vitra. He operates his entirely own brand known for skilled craftsmanship in wood processing, Maxalto, under B&B Italia. The first Maxalto store opened in Paris, followed by Chicago and Miami. The company received new attention after appearing in the James Bond film Quantum of Solace. Citterio’s other work includes construction in Italy and abroad, as well as leading conferences and lectures.
The Kartell image and history are best described through the company's products. The development, corporate strategies, attention paid to technology and design can be appreciated by observing the products Kartell has produced. Kartell products express the language and the atmosphere of the period in which they were created and at the same time they are "contemporary articles". They incorporate many values and messages and this is why they have become an integral part of our design world.
