"Za comes from the soul of Emeco - made for lifetimes of use, with a minimum carbon footprint." -Gregg Buchbinder
Za is a family of stools in three heights, handcrafted from recycled aluminum and guaranteed for life. "Za" means "a place to sit" in Japanese - a name that speaks to the multi-functionality of a simple stool that can be used anywhere, indoors and outdoors. A simple and timeless stool, built for lifetimes of use, to be kept, cherished and passed on for generations.
Za is a modest and humble stool created by Naoto Fukasawa, whose focus is on purposeful simplicity - a perfect combination with Emeco's heritage in aluminum craftsmanship. The stools are made by hand at Emeco's factory in Hanover, Pennsylvania and are guaranteed for life.
Za is yet another example of Emeco's sustainability commitments, made from 80% recycled aluminum, offering endless recyclability, an extraordinary long lifespan and very low carbon footprint. The stools are Ansi-Bifma tested, VOC certified.
The stools are offered in natural aluminum with matte hand-brushed or hand-polished finish as well as six powder coat colors that reflect the joyful spirit of the collection. Hand-brushed and powder coated stools are suitable for outdoor use.
