oslo side chair
by Anderssen & Voll, from Muuto
oslo side chair
Design Anderssen & Voll, 2019
Steel frame, molded foam, textile
Made by Muuto
"With the Oslo Side Chair, we wanted to create a design that had a light and airy appearance with extensive comfort. Its smooth, embracing curves make it an inviting and sculptural design while the slender legs give it an elevated and refined look. The Oslo Side Chair creates a new perspective on the traditional form with its rounded softness and gentle seat - a friendly design for any setting of the modern home, restaurant and workplace."
Combining modern, geometric lines with a light expression and comfortably soft seat, the Oslo Side Chair brings a refined perspective to the form through its playful lines and embracing back. The Oslo Side Chair adds an elegant touch to any space in a home, restaurant or workplace.
Anderssen & Voll are two thirds of the former Norway Says and among the most prominent and successful Norwegian designers. They have formerly been named both Norwegian and Scandinavian designers of the year in Norway and have received international awards and recognition for their work with furniture, lighting, and home accessories.
The Oslo side chair is constructed with a steel frame, molded foam & textile upholstery.
Ready-To-Ship options:
- Ocean 32 / chrome base
20.8" w | 22.05" d |31.7" h | seat: 17.75" h

Anderssen & Voll
Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll were previously founders and running partners of the design group Norway Says. Anderssen & Voll was established in the fall of 2009, working within various fields of design but focusing mainly on domestic objects. They are receptive to cultural and market influences and apply this knowledge in forward-thinking ways to generate groundbreaking and desirable products for their clients. Anderssen & Voll are among the most prominent Norwegian designers. They have been named both Norwegian and Scandinavian designers of the year and have received numerous international awards for their work within furniture, lighting, and home accessories.
Muuto is rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition characterized by enduring aesthetics, functionality, craftsmanship and an honest expression. By expanding this heritage with forward-looking materials, techniques and bold creative thinking, our ambition is to deliver new perspectives on Scandinavian design. In fact our name, Muuto, comes from muutos, meaning new perspective in Finnish. We handpick leading contemporary designers who are strong interpreters of our philosophy and combine their talents with the passionate Muuto creative team.
