Doubleframe Table

Design Michael Anastasiades, 2018
Solid wood frame, wood or Carrara honeycomb marble top
Made by Herman Miller®

Striking in its simplicity, the Doubleframe Table is pared down to a rectilinear form of pleasing proportions and maximum versatility. Corner-placed legs branch into a double-frame that holds an inset tabletop, which can be specified to match or contrast. The intricacy of its construction is contained within an overall clean, minimalist aesthetic - a quality shared by the 1930/s Parsons Table that inspired it.

The Doubleframe table features a solid wood frame in oak or walnut with a 4-leg base. Top is offered in matching wood or Carrara honeycomb marble. All tables are 29" high and 36" wide with length options of 70" or 92". Some assembly required.

29" h | 36" d | 70" or 92" L

Herman Miller was a West Michigan businessman who helped his son-in-law, D.J. De Pree, buy the Michigan Star Furniture Company in 1923. De Pree had been working at the company, which opened in 1905, since he was hired in 1909 as a clerk. De Pree knew his father-in-law was a man of integrity, so he decided to rename the company after him. By the middle of the 20th century, the name Herman Miller had become synonymous with modern furniture. Working with legendary designers George Nelson and Charles and Ray Eames, the company produced pieces that would become classics of industrial design.
