Die-cast aluminum, ABS, steel
Made in Italy by Flos

"Products are ever more surprising from a technical standpoint and their size gets smaller and smaller. Through highly sophisticated work of miniaturization on the details, the design of Kelvin too is increasingly aligned with the evolution of aesthetic perception in our time." -Antonio Citterio

Introducing a new member of the popular Kelvin LED family - Kelvin Edge. Don't let the smaller size elude you - at 75% of the size of the Kelvin Green Mode - as this powerful table lamp received it's name from a highly sophisticated Edge Lighting Technology. The industrial style and latest technology were put together to create this sleek and modern fixture, which through efficiency of light intensity and emission magnitude produces a balanced and brilliant glow.

The Edge lamp is an adjustable table lamp providing direct light. Aluminium painted or chromed body, with die cast head, joints and forks, and extruded arms. The diffuser is photoengraved polycarbonate and aluminate on the perimeter. Edge Lighting technology light source. The optical switch sensor on the lamp's head provides a three-step dimming function and color temperature adjustment at 2700K to 3200K (cool to warm). The Kelvin Edge is offered in either painted aluminum or chromed construction in four unique finishes: chrome, titanium, black and white.

Antonio Citterio

Italian designer Antonio Citterio (b. 1950) still lives and works in Milan since graduating in architecture from the Politcenico di Milano. He has made designs for many manufacturers, including : Ansorg, B&B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Hackman, Iittala, Hansgrohe, Inda, Pozzi e Ginori, Kartell, Arclinea and Vitra. He operates his entirely own brand known for skilled craftsmanship in wood processing, Maxalto, under B&B Italia. The first Maxalto store opened in Paris, followed by Chicago and Miami. The company received new attention after appearing in the James Bond film Quantum of Solace. Citterio’s other work includes construction in Italy and abroad, as well as leading conferences and lectures.
The furniture manufacturers and entrepreneurs Dino Gavina and Cesare Cassina founded Flos which became one of the leading Italian light manufacturers in the second half of the 20th century. Its origins lay in the energy of Arturo Eisenkeil who, in 1959, was seeking to find applications for a new, plastic-based material that he was importing to Italy from the United States. Called cocoon™, it was a spray-on plastic coating that Gavina and Cassina recognized as having potential for lighting design. From the outset, Flos established its reputation through its innovative lighting designs from Achille Castiglioni. The collaboration with Achille Castiglioni continued through the '90s, and in 1992 he introduced the "family of products" concept to the market with the Brera series. At the same time, Flos continued to scout for emerging talent at an international level. The first Philippe Starck lamp was produced in 1998, followed by the Miss Sissi lamp, Romeo Moon, and Archimoon series.
