The project "La Cintura di Orione" is dedicated to the "private gourmet", namely those enthusiasts of intelligent and creative cooking. The stockpot is offered with matching lid and features 18/10 mirror polished stainless steel.
Born in Munich in 1932, Richard Sapper studied philosophy, anatomy, graphics, engineering and economics. Ten times winner of the Compassi d'Oro, his prime interest is the design of technically complex objects, from ships to watches.

Richard Sapper designed the Tizio lamp for Artemide, one of the best selling lamps ever produced. In 1978 Alessi commissioned Sapper with the first product in a long series to come, the stove-top espresso maker 9090.
Alessi was founded in 1921 to produce crafted metal accessories for the kitchen. Alberto Alessi launched Alessi into high design through collaborations with designers like Philippe Starck and his Juicy Salif citrus squeezer.
