Design Blu Dot, 2006
Powder-coated steel

Thin is in. Powder-coated steel ships flat and folds along laser-cut lines to create a dynamic and comfortable chair. As skinny as a supermodel yet far more sturdy. Available in aqua, ivory and white with gray legs or four glossy tone-on tone colors: black, green, humble red or navy. Also available in a copper plated finish that is intended to patina naturally with handling and age for a unique look.

Optional wafer-thin seat pad makes a perfect accessory for the Real Good chair. Its slim profile won't spoil the clean lines. Magnets and non-slip rubber cleverly hold it in place. In black or white leather alternative. Also offered in five felted wood colors with a non-slip rubber pad to hold it in place.

18.5" w | 33" h | 18.5" d | seat: 18" h

blu dot

Blu Dot was formed in 1997 when John Christakos, Maurice Blanks, and Charlie Lazor commiserated about the lack of high-quality, affordable home furnishings that also appealed to their modernist aesthetics. They began as college friends trying to fill a void in the marketplace and have endured with highly-original furniture and products that join whimsy with practicality. The company thrives on collaboration and prides itself on having full control, taking care of each step in-house, from design, to manufacturing, to retail. Blu Dot is based in Minneapolis, and has flagship stores in LA and SoHo New York that display over 100 items from the collection.
