McQueen Bedside has generous storage capacity including shelving and two drawers. It is available as a left or right hand unit, to allow the drawers to be nearest to each side of the bed. McQueen Chests are strong, elegant and down-to-earth; drawers are detailed with dovetail joinery, cast iron handles, and a soft-close mechanism.

Matthew Hilton graduated with a degree in Furniture Design from Kingston Polytechnic in 1979. He went on to design products for a variety of well known manufacturers. In 1985 Matthew set up the Matthew Hilton Design Studio. He has also been given the highest honor in the field of Industrial Design in the United Kingdom, by being named a Royal Designer for Industry in 2003. In September 2007, Matthew established his own brand, Matthew Hilton Limited as a place he could have complete creative control. In 2008, he was named Designer of the Year by Elle Decoration at the British Design Awards.

Available in American black walnut finished with a Danish oil; American white oak finished with a Danish oil or a white oil; European Ash finished with a Danish oil, white oil, black stain, brown stain, or brushed/painted in a choice of brown RAL 8019, black RAL 9005, or white RAL 9016. Legs and drawer handles in cast iron.

Matthew Hilton

Matthew Hilton (b. 1957) attended Portsmouth College of Art and then graduated from Kingston Polytechnic with a degree in Furniture Design. After graduation, he was an industrial designer and model maker until 1984. In 1985, he set up the Matthew Hilton Design Studio. In 1991, he designed the "Balzac Armchair" for SCP Limited, a company started by Sheridan Coakley in 1984 and now based in Shoreditch, London. Hilton was Habitat's top designer, and his furniture is held in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, the Geffrye Museum, London, and the Manchester City Art Gallery. He was elected a Royal Designer for Industry (RDI) in 2005, which is considered the highest honor in the field of Industrial Design in the United Kingdom. In 2007 Matthew launched his company Matthew Hilton Limited.
