barber osgerby compact armchair

Design Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby, 2014
Hardwood & plywood, high density foam, die cast aluminum legs
Made by Knoll

A spirited new collection of lounge furniture by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby offers a relaxed, contemporary attitude toward interior design. The lounge collection is distinguished by a pinched pleat stitch detail that reinforces its architectural profile and plays against the curvature of cushions on each face. The sofas and complementary ottomans feature cast aluminum legs that can provide a pop of color.

The compact version of the lounge range is scaled for apartment living; this grouping features a lower back and reduced seat depth.

The Barber & Osgerby lounge collection features hardwood and plywood construction with elastomeric suspension sheet webbing and foam supported sit-through feature at the cushion breaks. The high density foam construction has a gel infused high density memory foam on the top seating surface. The legs are die cast aluminum in a range of finish options and fitted with adjustable glides. The collection is offered in a range of fabrics or leathers.
