sacco easy chair in leather
Design Gatti, Paolini, Teodoro, 1968
Polystyrene pellets, upholstery
Made in Italy by Zanotta
Sacco, or the anatomic chair, as it is still called in the Zanotta catalog, symbolizes an unprecedented break with tradition. Sacco was initially designed to be used with a transparent shell. However, the shell was not strong enough and the designers turned to opaque materials such as leather.
Sacco has no fixed form and its loose filling allows it to take on just about any shape, molding itself to the contours of the body. It can be used as variety of seating elements in various settings and especially popular among the young. It is included in museum collections around the world.
Sacco features an envelope containing highly resistant expanded polystyrene pellets upholstered in your choice of a range of leather options. Not for outdoor use. Sacco is also available in other sizes (please call the hive showroom to specify).
