The Homework Desk is an elegant and highly versatile work desk that is available in two sizes. Each desk can be ordered with single, double, or file drawers, and may be configured according to individual needs. Attractive from all sides and made from select materials, Homework is ideal for the home or office where a desk will be on view. Homework is precision made with clear glass or wood top, chromed steel, premium veneers, and ultra high-gloss finish.
The Homework Desk is a fresh look at desk design. An innovative detail allows the drawers to 'float' below the glass top giving lightness to the design while also providing additional table area. This detail also makes assembly simple, with only a few bolts needed to assemble the whole desk.
Legs are made from either mirror finished chromed steel or a gun metal finish with clear polycarbonate feet. Drawers are offered in wood veneer or high gloss lacquer. Drawer boxes are made of European birch plywood and equipped with soft-close runners that move silently and prevent slamming. The file drawer can be adjusted easily for letter or legal-size files. Each drawer includes a concealed cable management compartment large enough to neatly organize multiple cables and accessories.
Homework desk with wood top is made with premium veneers and solid wood edging on an MDF substrate, and expertly painted with European clear matt lacquer. The wood top accompanies the veneered drawer cabinets of the same finish for an all-wood version of the desk. Glass top not supplied with wood top desks.

Niels Bendtsen
Bendtsen gained valuable skills and a respect for hand-built traditions as an apprentice, and was intrigued by new technologies. Between 1963 and 1972, Bendtsen had his own retail store where he sold imported Scandinavian designs. He designed small items for the store, but it wasn't until he was in his early thirties that he truly began designing furniture.
The Bensen philosophy balances simplicity and honesty. Designer Niels Bendtsen trained as an apprentice with his father building Scandinavian furniture and gained skills & respect for hand built traditions.
