Audrey is not just a simple chair. It belongs to an eclectic, multifunctional "contaminating" family that can go everywhere: indoor and outdoor, office, home and contract. All sharing the same DNA but with slight differences to adapt to various uses. Audrey is a versatile contemporary chair with clean and simple lines thanks to the lightness and resistance of its die-cast aluminium frame. This is the first time a single piece, with or without armrests, has been thus cast.
After receiving his degree in architecture form the Milan Polytecnic, Piero Lissoni worked as a furniture designer before founding his own studio in 1986, specializing in architecture, interior and graphic design. He has collaborated with furniture companies, worked on a number of architecture projects in Japan and worked on design projects that have included a shopping center, an art gallery, a Cordon Bleu cooking school, logos and trademarks. He has received numerous awards including the Chicago Athenaeum 2002 Good Design ®Award for the Divina collection.
Audrey chair stacks 7 chairs high and features a seat and back of plastic in various colors and the aluminum frame is available in either shiny or painted white, aluminum or black. Painted versions are suitable for outdoor use. Audrey in the polished version is for indoor use only; for minimum orders of 50 pieces, there is also the polished aluminum version with a protective coating of paint that can be used outdoors as well (please call for details). Audrey is sold in sets of two chairs of the same color.
