The Jim stool neatly combines comfort and simplicity. A one-piece seat curves from a scooped base up to a high straight back. In the seat the volume increases. This ergonomic form guarantees a good support. The back ensures maximum comfort and support from this stylish stool.

Gijs Papavoine studied at the institute of technology and Eindhoven Academy for Industrial Design in the product Design department. Gijs was employed as a Product Manager at Montis until 1990. In this capacity, he was jointly responsible for Montis' design philosophy. In 1990, Gijs was promoted to dedicated designer of Montis.

Jim stools are available with a matte chrome round sled base in your choice of bar or counter height.

Gijs started his career with Montis in the Product Development department and shared responsibility for design philosophy, leaving a clear mark on the company. Papavoine’s style is characterized by a clear, graceful and refined interplay of lines with a strong sense of simplicity.
Montis stands out with unique color combinations and the use of various leathers. Montis sets itself apart from its competitors and achieves high comfort by often applying techniques that came to be regarded as distinctly Dutch.
