Generous seat and back cushions introduce a soft, enveloping comfort that contrasts gently with the precision of the wooden structure. The cushions appear almost suspended within the frame, creating a light visual rhythm while offering a deeply comfortable place to settle.
Every element of the Ima chair is designed with clarity and intention. The solid wood arms extend with a quiet presence, highlighting craftsmanship and material honesty while maintaining an open, calm, and lasting character.
Cushion: Multi-density structural foam core with undercover liner, removable cover. Wood Base: Solid wood structural frame with plastic foot glides, low gloss water based polyurethane clear coat.

Niels Bendtsen
Bendtsen gained skills & respect for hand-built traditions as an apprentice and was interested in new technologies. Early career, Bendtsen had a showroom selling imported Scandinavian designs where he designed in-house items, evolved into furniture design and then the Bensen brand.
The Bensen philosophy balances simplicity and honesty. Designer Niels Bendtsen trained as an apprentice with his father building Scandinavian furniture and gained skills & respect for hand built traditions.
