Back to the essence, Roots is a series of four jute and cotton kilims that evokes the Mediterranean origins of Inma Bermúdez and GAN and extols the work of artisans. In each of its versions, the shape of the square creates a pattern that is repeated at different scales and rhythms to represent a fabric, a material or a slight variation in color, always within the natural tones of the jute material: ochre, beige or brown.
Inma Bermúdez Studio is based in Valencia, Spain. Founded in 2007 by industrial designer Inma Bermúdez, in 2009 Moritz Krefter joined the studio. With a track record of over 15 years, the studio is recognized worldwide with numerous national and international design awards, including the most prestigious prize "Premio Nacional de Diseño" awarded in 2022 by the Spanish Ministry of Innovation and Design, making Inma the third and youngest woman to receive this honor in the history of the awards.
Anti-slip underlays are an easy to install solution to improve the care of your rugs. They prevent friction and wear and tear, prolonging the rugs useful life and keeping them well ventilated by preventing direct contact with the floor. Custom sizes are also available by calling the hive showroom.
