With the Starfall Light, you can go to sleep under the stars every night. Or dine with the watchful stars above you. The Starfall Light is a circular suspension light with a contemporary twist. Punctuated with 30 LED light sources, this upside-down chandelier brings perpetual star fall in your home. Thanks to 30 slim arms of different lengths, it not only resembles falling stars but also a starry night sky with dots of light at varying heights. A brand-new constellation waiting to be discovered! Installation is a breeze, thanks to the arms already in place, so you can enjoy your falling stars within moments. The Starfall Light derives from Front's installation of the 800 closest stars from earth in the Science Museum in London.
Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren are the members of the Swedish design studio Front. Their works are based on common discussions, explorations and experiments and they collaborate in all projects from initial ideas to the final product. Front's design objects often communicate a story to the observer about the design process, about the material, or about conventions within the design field. Significant in their work is the partial assignment of the design process to animals, computers or machines. They worked on various projects such as a constantly changing interior, exploding objects, robotic furniture and a range of furniture inspired by their fascination with magic. Front's work is represented at MoMA, Victoria & Albert Museum, M+, Nationalmuseum, Vitra Design Museum and Centre Pompidou.
Dimmable with Moooi wireless wall switch. With the Moooi Wireless Wall Switch, you'll have full control over your Moooi lighting design with one touch. The Wireless Wall Switch comprises two components, a wall switch and radio device to put in the canopy of your Moooi lighting design. The wall switch can be integrated in System 55 or Decora style wall switches. The Wireless Wall Switch communicates via Bluetooth with the radio device in the luminaires canopy. Within moments you can enjoy full and fluent dimming, all the way to dark. Mains and/or ELV dimming is not possible.
