The Montera table lamp by international artist and designer Jaime Hayon seamlessly blends past and present. Montera pays homage to the heritage of Spain, displaying a clear correlation with the traditional flair and pageantry of the country, both Montera's name and silhouette derive from the bullfighting hat of the iconic Matador. Hayon's signature use of color shines through, with two captivating variants: Forest & Sky, and Amber & Ruby.
A Spanish artist and designer who set up his own studio in 2000, Jamie Hayon has designed countless pieces of furniture, lighting fixtures and home accessories, hotel interiors, retail shops, a line of ceramics, shoes and his own collection of timepieces. With designs showcased in prominent museums around the world, Hayon is at the forefront of a new wave of talents blurring the lines between art, decoration and design. Hayon, now operating offices in Italy, Spain and Japan, is keen on exploring new and expressive forms, while maintaining a deep respect for artisan skills, finely-crafted details and a passion for play.
